The 2.4 GHz AGM2-HP-20 airGrid airMAX from Ubiquiti Networks is an outdoor wireless broadband CPE device which uses InnerFeed technology to integrate the entire radio system into the feedhorn of an antenna. The airGrid airMax, sold in a pack of five, features a grid reflector design, and offers single-polarity, narrow-beamwidth performance. It operates in the worldwide, license-free frequency range of 2.4 GHz, and provides a data transfer speed of up to 100+ Mbps in real outdoor throughput, at a range up to 12+ mi.

The "all-in-one" design of the airGrid makes it suitable for various applications. Firstly, it can be used as a cost-effective CPE in an airMAX Point-to-Multi-Point network. Secondly, an airGrid can be used on each side of a Point-to-Point link to create a reliable connection. And thirdly, the airGrid can be used as a powerful wireless client.

Unlike standard Wi-Fi protocol, the Ubiquiti Networks airMAX Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) protocol allows each client to send and receive data using pre-designated time slots managed by an intelligent AP controller. This "time slot" method eliminates hidden node collisions and maximizes airtime efficiency.
